How it all started..
Flat plates of aluminium arrive at the factory
Our base material are flat plates of seawater resistent aluminium. These plates are lasercut to precision parts that are welded together.
Steel build mould for precise measurements
On our concrete floor we built a steel building mould to assure that all alignings are a perfect fit.
Building upside down
We build the hull in an upside down state for easy access. Later the hulls will be turned upside right to finish the welding on top of the deck.
Current progress:
Both hulls are ready to be joined together for the first time.
.
Both hulls are turned right side up and are almost finished and ready to be joined together.
.
The first hulls are sanded for a pure natural finish to showcase the absolute craftmanship of the welders.

Liberty Yachts is currently building a 42 foot aluminium sailing catamaran in the Netherlands. With the ability to disassemble the hulls and store them in two 40 foot highcube seacontainers, you can ship this catamaran around the world at low transporting costs and sail in every destination that suits your dreams.

Diving into the Numbers
%
Over 70% of the Aluminium used, comes from recycled materials.
More than 1000 hours of welding go into the build of a single 42 foot Catamaran.
The low draft of only 0,7 meters (2.3 feet) allows you to enter shallow waters and get close to the beach.
This aluminium catamaran is a work in progress and so is this website. If you are interested in our work please subscribe to our mailinglist to receive any updates.
